Accessibility statement

YakProject is used on bright jobsites, on phones with gloves on, and in offices with screen readers. We want it to work for everyone who keeps the record of a job.

Last reviewed October 2026.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across this website and the YakProject web app. This is a target we design and test against, not a claim that every screen already conforms.

What we do

  • Text and interface colours are chosen to meet AA contrast in both the light and dark themes.
  • Text is sized in rem, so it follows the text size you set in your browser or phone.
  • A visible focus ring on every control, and controls sized for touch.
  • Drag interactions have a keyboard alternative where we provide them, such as moving a task on the schedule.
  • Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields; illustrations on marketing pages are captioned and hidden from screen readers.
  • The field app's screens and the toolbox talk library are in English and Spanish.

Known limitations

  • Visual viewers (drawing markup, 360 photos, drone maps and 3D site data) depend on seeing and pointing. We provide lists and text alongside them where we can, but the views themselves are not fully usable with a screen reader.
  • We have not yet verified that every PDF YakProject generates, such as daily reports and pay applications, is fully tagged for assistive technology.
  • Documents and photos that customers upload are only as accessible as the files themselves.

Tell us about a problem

If something in YakProject is hard or impossible for you to use, email support@yakware.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology you use. We will work with you on a fix, and on a way to get the job done in the meantime.
