Questions about price
Worked example: a 10-person subcontractor with three jobs going fits Crew (15 seats, 5 jobs) at $49 a month, or $490 a year. Working on a GC’s job inside the GC’s account costs them nothing.
Why not price by construction volume?
Because your software bill shouldn’t grow when you win a bigger job. You pay for the jobs and seats you actually use, at the prices on this page — no quotes, no volume-based pricing, no surprise renewals.
Who counts as a seat?
Your own people with a working role on a job. Viewers, the owner’s representative and the subcontractors you invite are free collaborators (25 to 250 per job, by plan) and never take a seat. Archived jobs are free and stay readable.
What happens past the allowance?
On Company and Business you keep working: each extra seat is $4 and each extra active job $10 a month, billed only once the overage has lasted 14 days, so a busy week costs nothing. Past 3× the allowance, ask us and a person lifts the cap. Solo and Crew stop at the allowance and offer the upgrade. Every plan has a ceiling, and nothing stops by surprise.
Can a subcontractor use it for free?
Yes. Working on a general contractor’s job in YakProject is always free: you get an invitation, add your daily work and see what the GC shares with you. To run your own company, start on Solo; Company adds one place to bill every GC, lien waivers and retainage.
Can we leave and take our records?
Yes. Export reports, photos and timecards as PDF or CSV at any time, on every plan. Cancelling returns you to Solo and keeps your records.
