YakProject Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026.

Yakware, Ltd operates YakProject. This policy covers yakproject.construction and the YakProject field app. Contact support@yakware.com about your data.

Data used by YakProject

We process your account identity, name, email, project membership, device/session identifiers, and the work records you submit. These can include notes, photographs, audio recordings, time entries, production quantities, reports, messages, signatures, and safety or payroll records. Your employer or project administrator controls which workflows you can access and which project records are shared.

Camera and microphone access support captures you initiate. Optional location access can attach your position to time records; clocking can proceed without GPS when it is unavailable or permission is denied. You can revoke permissions in Android settings. YakProject does not request background location access.

How data is used and shared

We use data to authenticate users, operate project workflows, synchronize offline captures, maintain an audit history, and deliver requested notifications. Authorized project users and recipients receive records according to project permissions and distribution settings. Service providers and configured integrations process data needed for storage, hosting, document rendering, forms, email, and optional automation. We do not sell personal data.

Content and user reports are private to account administrators. We store the report reference, reason, reporter identity, and review action to investigate concerns and maintain a moderation audit trail. Content-policy acceptance records identify the account, user, policy version, and acceptance time.

Connected calendars (Google and Microsoft)

You can choose to connect your own Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar so that YakProject meetings you attend appear there. When you connect, the provider asks you to approve access. YakProject then receives:

  • your account's email address (Google: openid and email; Microsoft: openid, email and User.Read), used only to show which calendar is connected; and
  • permission to create, update and delete calendar events (Google: calendar.events; Microsoft: Calendars.ReadWrite and offline_access), used only to add, change and remove the YakProject meetings you are invited to, in your primary calendar.

YakProject does not read, copy, analyze or store your other calendar events, and it changes only the events it created. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to keep those meetings up to date. We do not use calendar data for advertising, do not sell or transfer it, do not use it to train AI or machine-learning models, and do not let people read it except where you ask us to for support, where security or legal obligations require it, or once it is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

YakProject's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Disconnect at any time from the meetings page. We delete the stored tokens, ask Google to revoke the grant, and stop sending updates; meetings already in your calendar stay there. You can also remove YakProject from your Google account connections or Microsoft account app permissions (work accounts: My Apps).

Storage and retention

The field app keeps session credentials in secure storage and stores queued captures, project data, and cached media on your device for offline work. Signing out retains queued captures for the identity that created them. Server records and document versions follow account retention rules and legal holds. Message history follows the seven-year project retention rule unless an account policy is stricter; immutable revisions can remain after a record is tombstoned. Safety and payroll records may require additional retention under applicable obligations.

Your choices and deletion requests

Contact support@yakware.com to request access, correction, or deletion. To request deletion of your YakProject account and associated personal data, follow the account deletion instructions. We verify the requester's identity and review records that must be retained for project audit, contractual obligations, or legal holds.

Website cookies and optional measurement

Website session cookies provide sign-in and request protection. Optional marketing measurement runs only when configured and after consent. See the Cookie Policy for browser storage and choices.
