The invitation opens a portal limited to your work on that job: add your daily report, hours and photos, and see what the GC shares with you. You never become a member of the GC's account.

Getting paid

Your own schedule of values per GC, applications with their age, retainage held across every job, and reminders for overdue applications, retainage to request and lien deadlines.

Sign lien waivers in the app, on statutory wording for California, Texas, Georgia and Arizona, or a generic form elsewhere.
Submit applications into a GC's YakProject job directly when you are connected.

Questions contractors ask

A GC invited me. Do I need a plan?

No. Working on a GC's job is free and stays free.

Will the GC see my pay rates?

No. Content sent between companies is rebuilt from a fixed list of fields and wage keys are stripped at every level. Certified payroll worker rows are only visible to GC staff with payroll permission.

What if a GC doesn't use YakProject?

Run your jobs in your own account anyway, and export the daily reports, time and pay applications they ask for as PDF or CSV.
